Frances Currence

College Choice: Texas Christian University
Major: Early Childhood Education

Frances Currence fell in love with Texas Christian University when she visited last year. She applied Early Decision and once accepted she hasn’t looked back. She can not wait to attend TCU this August. As a team manager for the Volleyball, Soccer and Track & Field teams for numerous years, Frances has worked closely with both athletes and coaches. She admires and credits Coach Val Whitfield-Dunn and said, “Over my time at McGehee, Coach Val has taught me so much about myself and has become someone that I can really look up to. I am so thankful for the relationship that I was able to develop with her throughout high school.” And about her favorite McGehee memories, Frances has this to say, “my favorite memories from McGehee were getting the chance to put on Spirit Day and Nativity with my class in our senior year and eating lunch on the stairs with my classmates.”
