Creation Station

The Creation Station cultivates creativity, critical thinking, problem-solving, imagination, and resilience.

More than just an advanced STEAM lab, our students utilize bleeding-edge software and hardware to make exciting (and fun) discoveries about their world and themselves. While our Pre-K girls become experts in robot training, teaching Ozobots to follow instructions, our 5th Grade STEAM students flex their spatial skills as they learn to model in 3-D, utilizing TinkerCAD to combine, rotate, and cut shapes. Prevalent throughout our curriculum is an integrative approach to STEAM with frequent opportunities to work in the Creation Station right at the center of our campus.

Founded in 1912 and located on a one-of-a-kind campus in the Garden District of New Orleans, McGehee is a private, independent, all-girls pre-K, kindergarten, elementary, middle and high school. Educating and inspiring students from communities across the area from Metairie to the Westbank, Gentilly to Uptown, River Ridge and beyond, McGehee is a diverse and inclusive prep school welcoming all qualified girls regardless of race, religion, national or ethnic origin.

In accordance with the Asbestos Hazardous Emergency Response Act, AHERA, a Management Plan has been prepared.
