Game and Team Highlights

Congratulations to our Varsity Tennis team for their outstanding performance at the LHSAA Divsion IV State Tennis Tournament at the University of Louisiana Monroe on Monday and Tuesday. Our Hawks finished tied for 2nd place as a team, bringing home the State Runner-Up Trophy. Congrats go out to all team members for all of their contributions to the team's success. State Qualifying double teams, Grace Olinger '26 and Simmons Dupuy '28, and Hannah Makk '28 and Addy Whisnant '26, played very competitive opening round matches. Singles player Julia Mahfouz '26 won her opening round match and Adler Rosenthal '27 won two matches and advanced to the Quarterfinals. Defending Doubles State Champions, Ana King '25 and Florence Dupuy '26 won their first four matches and advanced to the State Final. In a hard fought Championship match, Ana and Florence battled in a three-set nail-biter coming up just short. The 7.5 points earned from team wins throughout the tournament led to the 2nd place finish. Thanks to teammates Francois Beals '27, Scarlett Lee '28, Mia Suau '28, along with Manager Jill Andrews '25 for all of their support and Coaches Melissa York and Lacee Ancar for their leadership and direction.
