Simone Hardy

College Choice: Bryn Mawr College
College Major: Psychology with a Minor in Gender and Sexuality Studies

Simone Hardy was accepted (early decision) to Bryn Mawr College, her first choice college where she is set to attend. She was also offered the esteemed Loyola Scholarship at Loyola University Chicago; the Provost’s Scholarship, the Legacy Scholarship, and the LA Resident Scholarship at Loyola University New Orleans; the Presidential Scholarship and the Balfour Scholarship at Wheaton College (MA), and the Hilltop Scholarship at University of San Francisco. Her other acceptance is Drexel University.

She commented about her years here, “I think McGehee made me a better writer. And, I also think that McGehee has made me better at reaching out and asking for help.” Simone credits quite a few faculty members for their teaching and support throughout her years here.

When it comes to favorite McGehee memories, Simone mentions her 8th Grade trip writing, “I think our class got much closer after that experience.” Her other favorite memories are from working tech at the last several years of Upper School musicals.

Simone is thrilled for college and said, “Bryn Mawr College has a great reputation and location/campus. What I think is special about it is the emphasis on community as well as the individual. It just felt like the best choice for my personality and an environment where I think I would learn and thrive.”
