Rachel Natal believes McGehee has prepared her well to “live independently in college and grow connections with people and colleagues in the future.” She wrote, “I love it here and I am missing it already!” When asked about a teacher who made a difference, she stated, “Ms.Thompson offered me the support I needed in order to thrive when entering McGehee during my sophomore year. The adjustment of moving schools mid-year was a challenge, but as an advisor and teacher, Ms. Thompson helped me grow and succeed when challenges arose.”

Rachel has been accepted into Adelphi University, Hofstra, Colorado State University, St. Edward’s, Pace University, Marymount University, Marymount Manhattan College, University of Kentucky, Spring Hill, Ole Miss, and Loyola NOLA, where she has received Recognition and Legacy scholarships.  She has been offered the Incentive Merit Scholarship at Pace University, the Provost Scholarship at Marymount University, The Dean’s Award at Hofstra, and she has been admitted into the Criminal Justice Program at Adelphi with an academic-merit scholarship. Rachel selected Pace University as her college destination based on their location, scholarship and internship program.
