Year of the Dragon

The Year of the Dragon is here! Little Gate and Lower School students kicked off Lunar New Year celebrations on Monday. They were treated to a special performance by the Rising Dragon Lion Dance Team, generously donated by the Tom Family (Will ‘39) and the Yu Family (Evia ‘38). The festivities continued as Little Gate Pelicans and Elephants had the opportunity to observe and then taste Chinese Candy Art, an ancient art form where children can watch beautiful creations spring to life from hot sugar paintings drawn with a ladle and spoon.
