En Francais

The 4th Grade showed off their French.
On Wednesday morning the 4th graders showed off their French language skills during a presentation to their parents and third graders on Francophone (French speaking) countries.  Fourth grade marks the culmination of French studies for students before they begin Latin in Fifth grade. One of the goals of the World Language program is to introduce girls to, and give them a broader understanding of, the many peoples and cultures that inhabit the earth. After studying the Francophone countries on six continents, the girls shared with the audience what they had learned about the cultures, customs, food, and dress of the peoples of those countries (en Francais, of course!) After the performance, all had the opportunity to sample foods the girls had made from around the world.
