Danielle Viguerie Coco '98

Leading Women Speaker Series
Upper School students and faculty were treated to a special speaker at this week’s assembly—alumna Danielle Viguerie Coco '98 spoke passionately of her time at McGehee and how her 14 years at school shaped and molded her to be confident, articulate, and brave. Moving across the globe to Dubai as a writer for a yachting magazine in a male dominated industry, proved to be an amazing chapter in her life, ultimately leading her back to New Orleans and a career as the Marketing & Communications Director at the Southern United States Trade Association. Danielle had this to say about her 14 years at McGehee. “McGehee is a community where a woman can develop her genuine self... and the ability to communicate, giving presentations, leading assemblies, as well as learning how to communicate with adults – our young voices were heard so we learned to be articulate.” When not working for SUSTA she is an involved, passionate board member and Board President of YAYA (Young Aspirations Young Artists), as well as mom to Cary Coco, a student at Little Gate.
