French Penpals

Old-fashioned penpals.
Upper School French students are participating in an "old fashioned" pen-pal exchange with students at the Maison d'Éducation à Saint-Denis.  This school is the oldest secular all-girls’ boarding school in the world, founded by Napoleon in 1805 and located just outside of Paris in Saint-Denis.  Some of McGehee’s French students visited this school during an overseas trip in June 2019.
For the penpal exchange, the girls are sending each other handwritten letters by snail mail.  Of course, this being 2021, many of them have already found each other on social media and are supplementing their communication with tweets and Instagram posts.
