6th Grade Design Challenge

6th graders worked with their Little Gate "clients."
Girls in section 6A were paired with “Clients” from the Ruby Elephant classroom. These clients challenged the 6th grade groups to invent and create ways to move items around their Little Gate classroom. The 6th grade students designed and delivered a Lego conveyor belt, a free-standing zipline, a toddler-sized rolling cart, a ramp and a runway for a mini-Mardi Gras float. The 6th grade students were careful to make these products safe for the 3 year olds to use, and were thrilled to be able to persist and problem solve in order to fulfill the Ruby Elephants' requests.
