Swim Team Places 4th in State

Our girls are fast!
We are very proud of our Hawks for a 4th place finish at the state swim meet. Five of our swimmers swam individual events in the finals Thursday. Our 200 freestyle relay team of Abbie Spera ‘23, Amelia Perret ‘20, Amelia Pullen ‘22, and Cameron Metzinger ‘21 placed 1st runner up. Our 400 freestyle relay team of Abbie Spera ‘23, Amelia Pullen ‘22 , Sarah Fitzpatrick ‘21, and Cameron Metzinger ‘21 placed 4th. Cameron Metzinger also placed first runner up in the 50 free and 3rd place in the 100 free. Abbie Spera placed 4th in the 200 yard IM and 7th in the 100 butterfly . Amelia Pullen placed 6th in the girls 100 freestyle. Amelia Perret placed 8th in the 100 backstroke.
Huge kudos to swimmers Elizabeth Drennan ‘21 and Eden Camacho ‘24 for their roles in getting the 200 free relay in the “A” final group. Without their best efforts Wednesday, the Hawks could have slipped into the B final and no amount of subs or alternates would have allowed McGehee to finish as State Runners-Up.
