Cameron Metzinger also placed first runner up in the 50 free and 3rd place in the 100 free. Abbie Spera placed 4th in the 200 yard IM and 7th in the 100 butterfly . Amelia Pullen placed 6th in the girls 100 freestyle. Amelia Perret placed 8th in the 100 backstroke.
Huge kudos to swimmers Elizabeth Drennan ‘21 and Eden Camacho ‘24 for their roles in getting the 200 free relay in the “A” final group. Without their best efforts Wednesday, the Hawks could have slipped into the B final and no amount of subs or alternates would have allowed McGehee to finish as State Runners-Up.
