5th Grade Travels the State

5th Grade is all about Louisiana history.
The Class of 2026 recently returned from their trip to learn more about Louisiana history, up close and personal. The girls and chaperones visited the Louisiana State Capitol Building and toured with two state representatives.  As usual several Representatives and Senators stopped to say hello and share their love of McGehee. Thursday afternoon was spent on Bayou Black observing many alligators, eagles, and other Louisiana wildlife. The last day of the trip the students visited Vermilionville where they learned about the Acadian people’s influence on Louisiana history.
