Regional Mock Trial Tournament

We are proud of our Varsity and JV Teams!
On February 16th, the McGehee Varsity and JV Mock Trial teams competed in the Regional Mock Trial Tournament at the 24th Judicial District Courthouse in Gretna. There were 13 teams in the tournament including Haynes, Jesuit, Rummel, and Sacred Heart. Each team had the chance to argue prosecution and defense in the morning. The trial focused on the fictional case of Blake Carter vs. Theta Lambda Pi Fraternity, Inc. The case was about hazing, an alligator, and a dead pledge. Our JV team moved to the semifinal round in the afternoon and lost a hard fought match with Jesuit. Congratulations to all the Mock Trialers who devote an immense amount of time and energy to this intellectual combat. The competition was keen. Team members are as follows.
