First Grade Greek Goddesses and Gods

The Class of 2030 loved their study of mythology.
The First Grade's focus on Greek Mythology is the first research-based unit of study in lower school. The girls were given a god, goddess or hero to research, with books and stories shared in class and from the McGehee library used to enrich this experience. From there, the girls built a story web of information to help with the writing process and then illustrated details that they felt were important facts. In STEAM class they were challenged to transform a piece of cardstock into a 3D mask. Each hero, god or goddess recited their work for the audience. The Class of 2030 did an outstanding job presenting their mythological knowledge to parents and students.
