Caroline Huber Named Summer Camp Director

Congratulations to teacher Caroline Huber!
New and exciting news on our summer camp at McGehee! All sorts of great changes are on the horizon. Not only do we have a fabulous new Director of our Summer Camp in Caroline Huber, but McGehee summer camp is accepting girls AND BOYS!!
Caroline Laurent Huber has been a Lower School faculty member at Louise S. McGehee School for nine years, teaching the Second Grade. She has also worked at local summer camps as both a counselor and director for the past nine years. She and her husband have two boys and are very active in their community.  Caroline is ecstatic to lead Summer at McGehee and is looking forward to welcoming girls and boys, taking her campers on weekly field trips, hosting regular special events, and welcoming special guest speakers to camp.
Caroline is a native New Orleanian and attended Holy Name of Jesus, De La Salle High School, and University of New Orleans because she couldn’t imagine leaving NOLA for college!  She loves all things New Orleans, especially Mardi Gras, Jazz Fest, and the Saints.
Caroline got her start in summer camps at St. George’s Castletree Camp as a counselor in 2011.  She was named Co-Director in 2014 and remained there until taking a position with Kidcam as Director at their north Metairie location at Bissonet Country Club in the summer of 2018. We are thrilled she is leading our summer program!
