Sadie Thorne

College Choice: The University of the South (Sewanee)

Many teachers and administrators at school quietly refer to Sadie as “Miss McGehee,” as she embodies the spirit and essence of the school. Even as a lower school student, Sadie expressed her fondness for her alma mater and always remarked that it felt like home. One of her favorite McGehee traditions is Founder’s Day. She commented, “I love seeing how successful all of the alumnae are. It's so crazy to think I'll be joining that group of amazing women soon. I also received the Citizenship Award on Founder's Day and that's something I'm immensely proud of.” Sadie is Senior Class President and can’t wait to give her speech on graduation day. Special congratulations to this McGehee girl for being named an Ecce Quam Bonum Scholar, earning full tuition at Sewanee.
