"Vaccine Misconceptions and the Impact on our Future"
Angelle Brown was accepted as a Karsh Stem Scholar at Howard University, which required her commitment to pursue an MD/PhD in a STEM related field.Through this program, she was offered a full scholarship and many opportunities to do research internships and study abroad. Angelle had this to say about her time as a McGehee student, “The sixteen years I have spent at McGehee helped me grow tremendously, not only academically, but also socially. I have been able to develop my true character and find my passions. The numerous teachers that I have encountered have impacted my life so much. I was able to create lasting relationships with these teachers, who I will be able to count on as mentors in the future. They challenged me and believed in me and pushed me to my fullest potential. Through the countless clubs I was involved in at McGehee, I have gained many leadership skills and will be able to use this necessary skill set in all my future endeavors. McGehee has ultimately taught me to always keep pushing, challenge myself, and to never give up.” Whether through her studies or many extracurriculars, Angelle Brown is always on the move -- her many years of dance training have certainly come in handy.
