The Louise S. McGehee School is now accepting applications for a dynamic, innovative full or part-time Science Teacher for 5th and 6th grades who enthusiastically invests his or herself in all aspects of the science education process and the school-wide community. Qualified candidates will possess an educational background in Science and will have at least two years of classroom teaching experience, ideally in an all-girls or independent school setting. Master’s degree in education or science-related field is preferred.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Demonstrate a passion for teaching and leading
Teach with an exceptional understanding of Science
Create dynamic sequential lesson plans that meet the needs of the students and include hands-on, inquiry based activities.
Willingness to participate in student advisory, club sponsorship, carpool, lunch supervision, etc.
Be an active member of the middle school faculty.
Clearly and effectively communicate with faculty, students, and parents
Early Childhood Aftercare
Louise S McGehee’s Little Gate is looking for a reliable and compassionate aftercare teacher to join our team. Preferred candidates will have experience in the child care field, excellent communication skills, and a true love for teaching and nurturing children.
Working directly with children- You’ll be responsible for supervising children at all times.
Overseeing a snack
Engaging in outdoor and indoor floor play
Keeping children safe and learning the licensing standards for incidents and incident reports
Working in a team setting
Assist with student check in/check out process.
Excellent communication skills
Job Type: Part-time
2-2.5 hours Mondays and Wednesdays
