She Takes a Stand
While friends at other schools fly to Key West for Break, she and classmates help build andantes in a remote Nicaraguan town. Her desire to do more for others began in Little Gate, cultivated through fun but increasingly meaningful service projects. As she waits on the spiral staircase in her pink graduation dress, she sees the world differently than she once did. She knows in her true heart that she can never be a bystander to injustice or inequality. She is always going to take a stand.
