After School Enrichment

After School Enrichment

Louise S. McGehee School offers aftercare for girls in Pre-Kindergarten through 7th grade. Our hours of operation are from 3:00 pm until 6:00 pm on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays, and on Wednesdays from 2:20 pm until 6:00 pm. Any student (7th grade and below) on campus following dismissal who is not engaged in some after school activity must sign into our Aftercare program.

For Aftercare, girls in Pre-K are walked to Little Gate for indoor and outdoor play. Students in Kindergarten through 7th grade are divided into age appropriate groups to do homework, play outdoors and take part in games and other fun activities. The cost is $9/hour with a discount for year and semester plans.

A wide range of extra-curriculars, such as Academic Games, Crazy 8’s, Gymnastics, Drama, Piano, Reading Magic, and Wacky Science are available for additional fees.

Good study skills are also emphasized during aftercare. Homework centers are designed to give McGehee girls an opportunity to begin homework assignments within a supervised setting and are monitored by certified teachers.

Snacks are provided for all. Our program affords working parents the opportunity for extended care as well as enrichment options for their daughter(s) in a well-structured, nurturing and safe environment.
