Welcome to the McGehee Parents' League

Fall has been a very busy season for the Parents' League and a very profitable one as well!!

We kicked off the school year with Spirit Night at City Park on October 2nd. The event was a huge success with a great turnout. A fun time was had by all... kids and parents alike! Thanks to the hard work by chairs Maria Argote and Pierce Young, the Parents' League raised approximately $25,000!

The Sally Foster Campaign began in early September with Entertainment Book sales and has just wrapped up with the delivery of gift wrap and Otis Spunkmeyer cookies this week. A hearty "thank you" to chairs Jennifer Kullander, Molly Baumer and Mary Schmidt for all of their hard work and commitment! Their combined efforts have earned the Parents' League over $11,000!

Our other committees are hard at work as well. The Beautification Committee under the leadership of Nora Bilbro has provided beautiful flowers throughout the campus. Contact if you want to be part of this group. The Library Committee under the direction of Aimee! Bell has assisted our librarians since the beginning of the year. Contact to volunteer.

The Dad's Club has kicked off the year with a bang! They have formed a great group, held two meetings and are planning exciting events for this year. Be sure to look for the Dad's Club at the upcoming Book Week and Boutique! Please contact , President of the Dad's Club to get involved.

• The Book Week and Boutique is November 15-20 with set up on November 13-14 and breakdown on November 20-21. Book Week chairs Christine Greenebaum, Page Beary and Shannon Carradine are busy planning for this exciting week. Additionally, Boutique chair Mathilde Currence is working hard to organize many creative vendors for the holiday boutique. We can use additional volunteers! Please contact if you can help out.
• The Spring Fundraiser is just around the corner on April 17th and will be here before we know it. Committee chairs Carolyn Fitzpatrick and Tricia Lacoste are already working on the big event and can use your help. Please email or to volunteer and get involved.

*McGehee Library BIRTHDAY BOOK CLUB
Parents and grandparents are invited to contribute toward the purchase of a new book in honor of their McGehee girl's birthday! With a minimum donation of $20, the honoree receives a special birthday card and the opportunity to be the first to check out the new library book.
