The McGehee education is a journey with a distinct beginning, middle and ending that allows your daughter to reach her highest heights of academic achievement. The McGehee journey begins in Lower School where our youngest students happily embark on a lifelong love of learning and then transitions into the developmentally distinct Middle School where the journey entails much discovery as students begin to understand their potential. Upper School is an exciting and challenging time as the journey leads them to college and beyond. Even as your daughter enters Pre-K, we are thinking about where she will go, who she will be, what contributions she will make to this world.

The mission of the Louise S. McGehee School is to provide a rigorous college-preparatory education to girls. And to that end, we have crafted a curriculum that is both challenging and nurturing, a curriculum that meets individual needs and nationally competitive standards throughout the Lower, Middle and Upper Schools.

However, our mission goes beyond statistics and scores. Our mission embraces an all-girls' education in an inclusive environment which:

• encourages high personal standards,
• addresses individual student needs, and
• emphasizes active student participation in the learning process.
